I pulled out the ram from the top slot as well as the bottom. So now the slots are empty. I must have put presure on the top slot and it pushed down which locked both of them, with no ram insterted, what a mess. I can not open them now at all. Any idea how to open the ram slots that have no ram in them??

You may need to post a picture of what's happened. Meanwhile, here's the guide on replacing the RAM, maybe you can figure out from it what has happened:

Let me put my problem another way - ram slots don't open

When you put the RAM in the slot and press it back into place, the retainers normally spread to accept it and pop into place when the RAM is seated.
