Black screen post boot, but display functions properly while charging

Hello,

iPad with cracked screen was functioning normally before repair. After replacing screen/digitizer the LCD was unresponsive, but chimes indicated the OS was functioning normally. Oddly the LCD lights up the charging screen as expected when battery is allowed to die. Not a backlight issue as far as I can tell.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Byrd

I hope you didn't glued your new digitizer before testing. Otherwhise I'm afraid that you will have to re-hot it to remove it.

Once the digitizer is removed, check if you positionned correctly the LCD cable to the LCD. (also check the connection of this cable to the mainboard)

It could also be the LCD cable itself.
