Why doesn't the Mac Mini have a grounded plug?

Hi,

I noticed my Mac Mini only uses a 2 prong plug. I didn't notice a grounded prong.

I remember reading on another forum that this is an intentional design - that somehow the mac mini's power supply and design compensates for not having a grounded plug.

Not being an Electrical Engineer, I thought I'd ask - is this true?

The power brick convert AC to DC, so you don't need a ground plug with DC.

It comes down the wattage drawn by the device. Here's bit more: Appliance classes which gets into it a bit. The standard in its self is not available online which gets into the wattage classes.

Here's a bit more on the connectors them selves: IEC 60320
