Not booting after lower case replacement

(Also posted at step 48 of Lower Case replacement)

(The following happened while performing a lower case replacement. I had previously replaced the left display hinge with no problems)

When I removed the motherboard, a small nylon "pin" came out. It's about 5mm long, the head is about 5mm around with a flat side, and the pin is about 3mm dia.

I cannot determine where it belongs, and the system will not turn on after I re-assembled. I have double checked all connections several times and my only suspect is this pin... Can anyone help me determin EXACTLY where it belongs?

The symptom is the system will not start up when power button is pressed (no screen, no lights on cap lock, num lock, or power light on front right). The power cord lights up, and the battery charges properly.

Any help would be appreciated

(ETA: specific request)

You'll have to open it up again, look at the motherboard, and figure out where the pin goes.

Well there's not much else, you're going to have to find out where the pin goes, there's not exactly some tool you can use to tell you where it goes, you'll just have to search some more, or pay a qualified professional to do it for you.

Maybe however, if you post a picture of the pin, someone here may be able to help with some information of what type of pin it is, and some ideas of a location.
