iPhone Won't Stay Turn On After Screen Replacement
I recently replaced my screen in my iPhone 5S. Once the screen was replaced everything seemed to work fine. After powering off the phone I was not able to power it back on. I have to open the phone back up, and disconnect then reconnect the battery before the phone will power back up. The latest iOS is running on the phone.
Is this a good question?

Does the power button work at all? Can you get it to turn on again when plugging in the charging cable / hold home + power button for 8-15 seconds?

I thought I had this figured out when I did a DFU restore and things seemed to work. I left the phone alone for a couple days and tried it again tonight and I'm still seeing the strange behavior. So I just tried different things. Pressing the home and power button at the same time powered on the phone. It could have been I just wasn't pressing the power button hard enough, or the power button could be going bad. Now I that I know I don't have to take the phone apart to get it to power on, I'll be a little more methodical in my attempts to recreate the issue and try now things. More to come.

I can re-create the symptoms at will now. After the phone has been off for some time, it will only power on when the power button and home button are pressed for about 8 seconds.

I thought the problem had been resolve and it was just s sticky power button. A few days ago the phone did turn on but I had to hold down the power button for a while. Today, after the phone had been off for about a week I tried it again and the phone wouldn't turn on by just pressing the power button. I had to press the home button too effectively doing a soft reset. Very frustrated.
