I have two Macbook pro 15" . I am trying to find the exact model number for my Macbook Pro before ordering parts for them.
1st Macbook Pro 15"
serial number: W89470P664**
I could find the following label on the bottom case;
BCM-BCM92046MDMINI
APL-A12868
2nd Macbook Pro 15"
serial number: W80492HUA**
BCM-943224PCIEBTH
APL-A1286(B)

Gene, APL-1286* is the mdl. Your apples model #'s are A1286, go to link below to punch in the serial #,s to learn more. Good luck.
