jsl3scotia not sure what you mean by power switch turning off. How long does your Kindle stay powered on? What have you checked? Does it charge?

Thanks for replying. The power switch will not stay on. Starts flashing green. It is fully charged. Cannot access any menu,home or any buttons. Looks like the power connector is broken. Can it be fixed? How do I open Kindle device? Does it need to be relaced?
