Big thanks to both of you. This gets me started! The reason I am asking is because I had a project in mind and I would like to use the Samsung smartphone hardware as a starting point. I couldn't find a forum and where with the sort of information I was looking for and this is as close as I got so far. What I really wanted to know was exactly what you provided. Basically I wanted to know which components were which. This will enable me to research the rest of my own.

Again thanks to both of you! Have you ever played around with the hardware? I don't need the actual phone functions at the moment, just looking for a small package processor that is already proven and will already run android without too much programming know how.

@pjax258 Just like @jimfixer pointed out, you have to be clear about what you are looking for. If you are looking for a description of the components on the circuit board, then you are in for a lot of work. Let me show you why:

Samsung Galaxy Note II is known as a GT-N7100 and here is the layout from this area only.

and then you are looking at the board layout with the reference designator of the components

Samsung is not very nice, they do not mark the components for the specificity. We know L being an inductor, C capacitor etc. but there are no values. For that you will need the part list. Let's pick one. Lets say L300.

So here is a view of the parts list

Okay at least we figured out that L300 is the same as L301 and L512. Samsung part number is 3301-001956 and the description is BLM21PG220SN1D. Nice, but still no values. You will have to use the description not the Samsung part number) and your favorite online search engine to determine that it is a 22Ohm 6A 25% Ferrite Bead (inductor, choke etc.) So, as you can see there is no easy way to give you a list for all this. It is tedious and cumbersome. Now that was fun to answer.
