Green Haze across my screen.

Recently my computer screen started to flash and now has a continue green screen (haze & occasionally it will revert back to normal for 5 or so minutes). Do you know what could be causing this problem.

Also at the same time my battery died and now only works when it is plugged in (shows a X in the battery icon).

Would appreciate your suggestions and help.

I can think of a few reasons, and I'll list them in order:

  1. Loose display signal connector: unplug and replug the connector
  2. Dead battery playing with voltages: replace the battery with an iFixit replacement battery
  3. Dead graphics adapter: replace the logic board
