Why is my tablet not turning on?

When I hold the power button to turn on the device nothing happens, and the screen doesn't turn on.

If your tablet is not turning on, your device could be dead. Try charging the device and waiting a few minutes to see if it powers on. If that does not work, either your battery or the micro-USB charging port could be faulty. You can refer to the devices troubleshooting page for more information.

The narrow, inadequate, plastic switch may have shifted in its meager, very shallow nest. Which doesn't encompass the entire body. It appears to me as though the switch is slightly smaller than its holding pen. Or, perhaps, the pen is larger than the switch. Which ever the case, it should be seated snugly. Its function/design does not necessitate lateral movement, only forward then back to its default (neutral) position. It is a misalignment of the tiny "male" plastic protrusions of the switch and the soldering joints of the electrical connection. The "high points" or apex' are not squarely meeting (basically the "contacts"). Henceforth, theres not enough throw to amply register an effect, because they are meeting shoulder to shoulder rather than head to head.
