Trackpad jammed, will not click

Hi. I have a MacBook Pro from mid 2009. I was on my way to class, when I dropped it. The padded case kept the screen and drive from being damaged, but there is a small dent on the aluminum casing that seems to have jammed the trackpad. I can still move the cursor, but for clicking and scrolling, I've had to borrow a mouse from our library. Is there any way to fix the trackpad so it can click and use multitouch again?

Answer this question I have this problem too

This could take some serious metal work skills. or You can replace the top case. Here's the part: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (Mid 2009) Upper Case and Trackpad

Here's how to install it: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53 GHz Mid 2009 Upper Case Replacement

or you can remove the top case and see if somehow you can remove the trackpad and use a jewelers file or sandpaper disk on a Dremel type tool to remove where the metal is binding the trackpad.

or use a diamond cut off disk on a high speed dental rotary tool such as a "jack rabbit" to grind the trackpad from the top. Like this: http://www.dentalcompare.com/details/768... This is what I use: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...
