Dead Backlight, Replaced LCD, Inverter Cable, Inverter

Im about at my wits end here.....

My macbook backlight is dead, I replaced the inverter first, nothing, then I ordered another inverter, nothing, then I ordered another interter and cable, nothing, then I ordered a brand new LCD, just installed, AND NOTHING.

Please Help.

The problem may be caused by a failing inverter sub-system on the logic board. Checking if the inverter socket on the logic board has voltage would tell you if the logic board is faulty or not. Try to find a tech that could check this for you.

I have like 4.5V out of pin 1, 6 out of pin2, 3 and 4 are dead Im assuming ground... is this normal?

Sorry, I don't have the pins out values but hey...there's voltage there.

Have you tried hooking up an external monitor? Did that work?

Lemerise please correct me if I am wrong, but if an external monitor worked would that mean the sub system on the board is fine?

Yes you're right but in the current situation the OP has a screen lightning issue and this is not related to the graphic chip but could be caused by a another bad component on the logic board if no power is reaching the logic board output inverter socket.
