Replaced LCD, now battery won't charge and new LCD is cloudy
I replaced my damaged display assembly and rear case w/out a problem. It powered up and looked completely fixed. Everything functioned perfectly for the rest of the day except the battery wouldn't recharge. It slowly drained. I left it on the charger over night. The next morning I pressed and held the power button and got the black screen w/ the red-level low-battery charging screen. But the top corners and side of the LCD had a white haze!! I hurriedly unplugged it and it powered off completely, presumably because of the drained battery.
So now what? Bad battery? Or did I fry something on the logic board? Have I damaged my brand new LCD screen? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm afraid to move forward until I know more because I don't want to make things worse.
Is this a good question?
