Logic Board connection stripped, what to do?

While trying to fix an antenna issue, a screw felt loose on the wifi antenna cover. When I took it off, the screw and the little copper ring that connected the antenna cover to the antenna on the logic board broke right out in a perfect little circle. I don't have the part and now my phone has terrible reception. What do I do?

Without seeing a picture, it's hard to say if it is fixable or not. The "standoff" allows the ground to connect from the antenna cover to the logic board. When it's not there, you don't have that continuity and that is likely causing your reception problems.

Unless you have the tools or experience, I would recommend that you find a qualified repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs. You can also do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple but be sure to back up your data first.
