What is a HFS volume Problem Mean?
I did an update for an doc.x file shut my computer off and now it will not boot up. I ran the disk utility program on it and it says their is an HFS volume error what does this mean?
Update
How many times should I try this. I have tried two times now and it still hasn't fixed the problem. I am starting to wonder if this has something to do with only having about 1.2 mb left of memory.
Currently I do not want to wipe my disk clean because, I do not have a back up done mostly all pictures. I took the computer into an apple store the tech was able to open my files but he wouldn't save anything unless I bought an eternal hard drive from him $300. I already have a 250mb external hard drive and I will try to load tiger onto it open up my files transfer them over and wipe hard drive clean by rebooting. Apple-Techs suggestion.
Any suggestions on how I can do this using my super drive on the disabled computer or should I do this by using a different mac.
Is this a good question?
