How do I use Wifi instead of the dial-up or ethernet connection?

Hi,

I’ve been trying to connect to the internet using Wifi connection but fails. Is there a way to turn off the ethernet connection?

For the easiest setup, other modes of manual internet connection should be removed (any RJ45 or ethernet). Be certain that your wireless connection switch (located beneath the trackpad on the shell of the computer to the left of the SD card slot) is in the on position. First thing to check is if the wifi card is working. Wifi cards seem to be the most failure-prone components in laptops. Try reinstalling the drivers and if that doesn't work you may have bad hardware
