Where does the rubber ring go? iPhone 6

there's a black rubber ring that fell out while trying to remove the logic board of the iphone 6.

i don't know where it goes back to.

to describe the size, it fits inside the apple logo at the top of the battery

i thought it maybe went around the rear camera but maybe not.

i was actually removing the one non-phillips (flathead) screw at the top of right of the battery when out came the rubber ring.

thanks

Could you take a picture? Because I don't know what it would be.

What do you mean by "under"? In between the lens and Where the sapphire glass is?

I don't think it fits there

by

I don't think it does either. But if it's a rubber gasket, probably won't hurt. Don't add too much pressure. Honesty I'm at a little bit of a loss. I'll check a couple today, and see if I can come up with an answer

What else did you take out? Lightning dock?

by

no, only the logic board (and the other parts that allow me to remove the logic board, such as the rear camera). i took apart some of the display side but know it didn't come from there. thanks for your help

This answer was originally to another question.

Are you sure its rubber? That looks like the camera lens.

yes, it is rubber. It can stretch.

by

do you think it might go into the camera section?

by

It could be, try putting it between the camera and the housing. Is it a 6 or a 6s?

by

It's iPhone 6 and apparently it's liquid damage indicator has been voided (in contact with liquid)
