Proximity sensor not working after screen replaced

Replaced this iPhone 6 and the proximity sensor not working, all other parts work fine. The issue is weird, if make a call or answer a call, the sensor becomes very hot, scorching actually, I think it will burn itself at some point and it scares me a little bit. However, if no phone call, the sensor is fine, not hot at all. Try use a marker to cover the sensor, failed. Try clean the sensor, nothing changed. The last solution is to replace the sensor cable. Don't have it in stock. Will try later.

Any idea?

Thanks,

The front camera assembly needs to be replaced. Sounds like it's faulty to me.

You can get the part from here:

Yes, after I replace the whole part, the problem solved. Don't understand why the cable not working, I have never had this problem before.

The cable can get cut / damaged during screen replacements, it does happen.

Maybe the wire is not connected properly. Try to open the device and make sure all the wires are properly connected.

Well it's my mistake for responding to your comments in the first place. Oh well I'll just delete mine since I'm in the wrong anyway.

@aidrod you sound like a 7 year old ragequitter right now. Go take a chill pill and come back later. @benjamen50 is also WAY more experienced than you. He has about five hundred times more reputation than you. Even that, I'm 12 and I STILL have about a hundred times more rep than you.

@aidrod your comments toward @benjamen50 and @joshw are insulting and are not welcomed. If you disagree with anything that gets answered on here, you can do so in a professional manner. If you are such a great professional, I recommend you hang out where the Pro's hang out.

@gigabit87898 you have more rep than me cause you've probably had your account longer and have been answering since then I barely started commenting like a couple days ago... Common sense :)
