I have: iMac 27-inch, (Late 2012), 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5.

I would like to Upgrade my CPU to Core i7 ?? GHz.

2. What CPU is recommend for playing 4K movies ?

Options

This swap out should work fine. I'd get one out of a iMac in case there are firmware mods on the chip.
