Why does my shredder jam when I try to shred newspaper?

When I was shredding the other day I was trying to shred newspaper but it kept jamming on me. Is there a reason why it jams when I try to shred newspaper?

The T7CM Fellowes paper shredder is not designed to handle newspaper.

This is why your shredder is continuing to jam.
