French keyboard fitting the US unibody layout?

Hello everybody,

I currently have a mid 2009 Macbook Pro with US keyboard, and I'm about to make it undergo a little upgrade (SSD, 8GB RAM)... And a french keyboard.

The thing is, I wish to put a french keyboard inside of this macbook, but the standard french replacement keyboard doesn't fit - but I am absolutely sure that a couple of weeks ago I saw a french keyboard which *did* fit the US layout... Only thing is, I just can't find it anymore.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately the french keyboard will not fit, the return key is a different shape to the standard US layout.

Depending on which keys are different, you could always buy the different plastic keys for the french version and replace them on your Macbook, then change the keyboard layout to french in the settings. I am not sure the different keys between the US and french versions, but I'm sure this will be possible.
