Battery Issue, doesn't charge, dc-in becomes hot

done SMC and NVPram resets no change, the dc-in heats up and the battery doesnt charge. What other possible parts could it be if the battery doesnt charge but is detected? could it be a faulty dc-in?

the kernel can run on low cpu if i have it in the smc reset mode (when the fan noise is spinning i presume and the charger light is off)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Could be battery, DC in or logic board (charging IC circuit, or something else). The kernel task CPU is high, are the fans spinning loudly?

^ yes, thats due to running in SMC mode or whatever so its not actually running through the battery, during that stage the cpu load on the kernel is low ~ 5%. Battery replacement is probably what i'm truly after hopefully.
