My mouse only work on Bios

Hi guys

I am a teacher. The school's computer has win7 and the mouse doesn't work. It's light isn't on even in safe mode. But when I go to Bios it's light is on and it works. Therefore, I know the Bios setting should be changed but I couldn't find any related section. I know there should be USB mouse or something like that but I couldn;t find it. Help please

Have you loaded factory defaults? What OS?

Actually last week the school brought this computer and the mouse was fine but the speakers didn't work. The principal tried to fix it, as a result the mouse doesn't work. When I turn the pc on it first go to Bios setting and I don't know why

No I didn't change the Bios setting to default but I changed several parts and the problem didn't solve. I think it is 32 bit. I'm not sure

Hi, What is the legacy USB support option in BIOS, enabled or disabled?

by

Hi. Actually I don't remember, there were several disable sections and I enable them one by one but they didn't work. I'll go back to school at Saturday to apply all suggestions and hope it work. Thanks

I actually had this problem about 3 months ago . I had everything finished on a fresh install but the mouse stopped working . Worked fine through the install but as soon as it booted to windows for the first time the mouse quit. I reinstalled 3 times and was frustrated to no end I changed setting for legacy mode in the bios for the usb . Changed them back turned on and off the computer what seemed like a million times. I googled the problem and found a lot of solutions but none seemed to work for me. Then I though about my favorite solution when all else fails. Clearing the memory , so I pulled the plug on the computer, held down the power button for a couple of minutes then plugged it back in and booted the computer. It worked . Not saying it will work for you but give it a shot. You can also try removing the ram to clear them as well . Hope this helps

If possible, try a Ubuntu live cd or a Windows installation disk to see if it works in another OS.if it does, just reinstall the OS.

Hi. Thanks for your suggestion. As it isn't my own pc I on't think I be permitted to do that, however, if non of other solutions work I'll to it without permission!
