iPad 3 32GB doesn't load nor sync, no visible reason

I have an iPad 3 32GB Wifi, that doesn't load nor sync, also in reset or DFU mode, as if there's a power supply or cable problem. However, the supply as well as cable works with other devices.

There is no visible reason in the connector as far as I can see. I plan to pick this apart. Any suggestions what to look for?

Other actions to take first? I still have about 50% battery left

Answer this question I have this problem too

For the sake of doing so I would recommend blowing the charging port out with some compressed air. Beyond that it looks like the charging port is separate from the main board so it could be that it simple needs to be replaced or re seated (unplugged from the main board and plugged back in). If you have an electronics store near by you can buy a charging cable with chasing lights in it. They are kinda novelty cables however they are excellent for troubleshooting power issues. The lights only stay on if the device is taking power, the faster the lights are going the more power the device is taking.

Yeah, I'll try compressed air. Then I think I have to take it apart, though it would seem this is a little bit more risky than I thought. Also I believed I had the tools, but seems I need more, like a heat gun.

Those cables sound like a good idea. There might be something they carry in the local iPhone repair shop.

Thank you.
