Dolby audio is not working.

When I play music on my ZTE sonata 3 the dolby audio doesn't want to work. I reset everything and still no luck. Will I have to take it back or "hopefully" I could fix my self.

If it worked when I bought it,wouldn't that point to another app causing the problem?

Hi,

Just verifying. You have opened the Dolby Audio app (Home > Settings > Dolby audio) and what happens? Does the app open or not? If it opens does it respond to your inputs?

You say the you have reset everything. Have you tried a factory reset?

Backup you phone first using the phone's backup feature, then after ensuring that the battery is fully charged, perform a factory reset using the phone's factory reset feature. Be aware that a factory reset will erase all your user data and downloaded app. It will restore the phone to a factory default condition. It will be like when you first bought it. That is why it is important to do a backup before a factory reset.

After the factory reset , check to see if the Dolby audio is now working.

If it is still not working then there is a problem with the app or the hardware in the phone. Try uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

If it is working, restore the phone from the backup you made earlier using the phone's restore feature. Once restored check the Dolby Audio to see if it is still working.

If it is still working now then the 'reset' has resolved the problem.

If it is not working again now then perhaps a downloaded app is causing the problem. The hard part is finding which one is causing the problem. You will have to uninstall your downloaded apps one by one and test whether the Dolby Audio is working after each one is uninstalled until you find the one that is causing the problem.

Basically the procedure is Backup >Factory Reset > check > Restore > check

It's some kind of trouble with the Dolby Audio app, it changes the EQ in others musicplayers, for ex Google Music. The only way to get stock back is to deactivate The Dolby app and restart Google Music.

In the Dolby audio app you also have restrictions when you use headphones, and cant raise The bass or any band in the EQ Due to security reasons!?

Why does it work with other players such as in Blackplayer were the EQ works flawless. I have a Moto G6 plus 64gb, but Iguess it some kind of trouble with the dolby app, when I deactivate it I dont have these issues with the sound. Best reegards Pierre Gothenburg Sweden
