What can I do about seemingly failing battery?

I’ve been experiencing a power issue with my Lenovo Ideapad U310, and any help that could be offered would be appreciated. It seems that the Ideapad won’t turn back on once I’ve put it into sleep mode. The battery LED light will flash, but any attempt to charge the battery proves fruitless. Will I have to go so far as to replace the battery, or is there an alternate solution?

The first thing you’ll want to do, short of removing the battery, is open Lenovo Energy Management and start troubleshooting from there. It looks like Lenovo has their own troubleshooting page for battery charging issues, including how to work with Lenovo Energy Management, and possible alternatives like dealing with a faulty third-party battery and replacing the battery: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-U-an...

Besides this there’s also the Troubleshooting page here on iFixit: Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Troubleshooting
