Options

No earpiece sound for calls but works with ringtones

I've searched for info on this precise problem but can find nothing.

The earpiece only works when I test my ringtones but when I take a call I can hear nothing.

Proximity sensor works fine.

I've reset the phone, rebooted and loaded new firmware.

I've replaced the earpiece/proximity sensor cable.

Earplug socket has been cleaned out.

Any ideas?

may be a problem with the mainboard connector 3 and not the cable itself. check for bent pins, dirt etc. it can be replaced if this is the problem but isn't something most of us have the tools for. many online shops offer this type of repair fairly cheaply.
