Why isn't the screen responding to the stylus pen?

When I use the stylus pen that came with my device, it appears that the screen doesn't respond to it. Sometimes it even interacts with an area of the screen that I am not touching.

Sounds like its a faulty screen, if its new I'd take it back under warranty.

From what I have read, you may need to recalibrate your screen, or it may just need a simple cleaning. There is a troubleshooting page entry that should be able to guide you through this process.
