I opened my iPhone 3G to and replaced the display assembly. E vibrator stopped working. I opened again to try to fix the vibrator and it stopped powering on! Help!

When the phone was opened, I removed the vibrator and then I but it back. I also unplugged "#6" and then plugged it back in.

You need to check power supplies.... So charger/cable then open and check no 4 and 6 cables on motherboard . I'd guess 6 as you took it off. Next look at battery area- are pins to battery flattened and not making contact with motherboard, is motherboard screwed in over battery connection?

As to vibrate I'd check the 2 gold prongs are making contact with bottom of motherboard. Depends what area damage was from screen smashing as this will guide you as to what to replace- might be the switch
