Problem with fan ( polarity)

Hello, i have macbook pro with retina screen and i have problems with my fan. it doesn't work. can you tell me what is the polarity on fan flex cable ? i would like to test if it's spinning with DC Power supply but there is no marks with polarity (+ / -) on flex cable. Thank you

Hi,

The fan on this model only spins when the CPU gets hot beyond a certain threshold. To make sure it works, run a graphics benchmark program with the back off, and you will see it start to spin after a couple of minutes.
