Replaced buttons, and now the 3D screen turns on, but stays black.

I removed the motherboard to get to the D-pad and to do so released the 3D screen ribbon cables, I put them back and ensured they are clean, tight and secure, flaps down. (twice- I went back and tried again after realizing the problem the first time.) and the 3D screen is turning on with the rest of the system (everything else is fine) but stays black. and tips on what I should do?

I know you had checked many times, but did you plug in the ribbon cables correctly? Some cables' copper side are supposed to be plugged to another side of connector.

This is the only solution this inexperienced person can think of, no guarantee this will work but it's worth a shot.

This was it for me, since all of the cables for the upper hinge get rolled up, the LCD connector was backwards. Copper facing away from you if the bottom of the board is facing towards you. Thanks so much for this comment, I would never had tried it otherwise.
