Mic Doesn't work after replacing dock connector

So I replaced my dock connector today, the old one wouldn't charge but even when it wouldn't charge everything worked perfectly until it ran out of battery. So today replaced dock connector, everything worked fine, I was pumped, and then I got a call and person couldn't hear me. Mic doesnt work in voice recorder either, however the speakers and charger work fine and headphone mic works.

People have said it could be ribbon 4 since I bought the part on Ebay and someone recommended putting pressure on it while trying to call/record with the iphone open and once again no success, nothing at all... thoughts anyone?
