Can I solder broken wire back on using the old solder blob?

Hi! My headphones broke on one side. I can see the broken wire inside the ear cup and was wondering if I could just melt the solder that's there and push the wire back in. (after snipping the wire). I've never soldered before and don't know much about electronics.

Here's a picture, you can see where the wire's all broken.

Christian, as Shelton stated could be possible, but if you want a good clean trouble free repair at least get a little flux/rosin cored solder so you will have a clean soldered connection, saves from having to do it twice.

A small amount of rosin core solder can be purchased at most electronics stores and big box stores as well.

Below I will post a tutorial on soldering. Good luck.

Should be possible, your picture isn't the clearest though. Before of your temp when soldering you don't want to melt anything. Maybe watch a few basic videos on youtube before you try.
