Why is my trackpad lagging?

My trackpad responds very slowly to gestures and sometimes is completely unresponsive. It causes the cursor to move very slowly across the screen and it takes a while for it to respond.

Hello,

I had the same problem a while ago with my trackpad. It turned out the smart gesture software installed in the laptop was causing the slow response from my trackpad, and I had to disable some of its features. Sounds like you might be having the same issue.

To disable some of the features of the Smart Gesture software, you simply go to the device settings and uncheck all of the gestures.
