What type of 02 sensor do I need?

2003 echo

I need to replace my 02 sensor, the mechanic took mine out and said I needed to go buy a new sensor. I was told that there are 2 different types of 02 sensors, a 3 wire and a 4 wire sensor.

4 cylinder, 5 speed, 4 door, automatic.

Your local parts store should know. Your mechanic took it out, what did he do with it? He knows which one it is. Ask for your part back or look.

@lpfaff1 On this one Dawn, the OP, posted her own answer (that was actually a comment). The OP of a question can accept any answer. Looks like she likes herself more than you ;-) I have left her a comment on this.

You can vote on any question and also vote via moderation to vote up an answer for acceptance or several other options. We get so little voting that this seldom happens (just lack of participation).

Moderators can accept or kick a question off with just our vote,

The continuing advancement in technology has brought many changes to the structure of today's automobiles. While vehicles of yesteryears were equipped with extremely large and unrefined engines, new vehicles are equipped with smaller engines that produces more power at a refinement level way above the engines of the past.
