Laptop heats up when plugged in

When I am charging my laptop, the bottom of the laptop and the keyboard get unbearably hot. Is there any way I can reduce this heat, or is there an issue with my battery/laptop?

If it is unbearable hot, and you are unsure if it is broken, there could be problems with your battery or the charger. Generally, since the battery is attached to the laptop itself, you could have a damaged battery.

Hi, Some heat is usually normal when you charge your laptop. However, if the levels are unbearable, I recommend getting a cooling pad for your laptop that you can plug in with a USB cable and putting it under your laptop. This usually solves the heat problem. Hope this helps.
