What OS is better for my computer?

So im trying to decide whether keeping my mac at snow leopard or upgrading would be the best solution for my old Macbook 4,4 4GB ram. With a bootcamp of WinXP. Is it worth the upgrade? Or is there nothing worth it in lion?

Sadly, your systems limitations due to its age are hard to overcome. I would recommend staying with Snow Leopard (10.6.8), while some people have managed to run newer versions of OS your systems RAM & HD limitations will be hard to run most of the available apps as well as its limitation to 32bit versions.

As for Windows under BootCamp: Windows XP or 7 is about all you can use. You can only use the 32bit versions.

I would look at saving my pennies to buy a newer system (new or used)

I have that laptop, apparently OS X 10.6 doesn't seem to support much apps, so I installed Windows 7 Professional on that laptop. Works very good and lots of apps still support Windows 7.
