Songs will not show up when searched in my computer folder

When I download songs I save them to my "music folder" in the "my computer" folder on the task bar. After I download the song I like to search for the artist in the search bar so I don't have to scroll down a thousand songs looking for it. So in the search bar in "my computer" of the music folder I type in the artist and it does not show the recent songs I added, just the older ones I added. When I type the name of the recent song I added of that artist in the search bar it says "no items match your search," but when I scroll down the song is there. I want to fix this. I have windows 8.1

Options

Perhaps Windows is not properly indexing the folder

  1. Open your control panel.
  2. Search for "Indexing Options".
  3. Click Modify.
  4. Select the folder that you are having the issue with.
