Touchscreen not responding after a drop. LCD not damaged

Hi!

iPhone 3GS fell from about 1m and the glass is cracked and doesn't respond to touch.

I checked all the flex cables and connectors, they seem to be fine and the LCD itself is without any damage.

Tried hard reset, but no luck. iTunes recognizes the iPhone with no problems.

So I'm wondering whether I should replace just the digitizer or the entire LCD display + digitizer? Or could there be damage on logic board?

Sounds like it's just the digitizer. You can buy that here. Follow the links to the right of this page for parts and how to fix it.

I hope it's just the digitizer. Already ordered one.

You say LCD is without damage then should just be digitiser. Even if LCD then fails you don't need to buy entire midframe you can just replace individual components

So I replaced the digitizer and everything works great now! (bought the digitizer together with home button & sensors off ebay)

Thanks for the tips!

My daughter dropped hers there was no crack on the glass display but the LCD display was super dark when it was on. I didn't opt for the digitizer and just replaced the display everything working fine.
