Faulty power button- intermittent + low signal

Hi,

I had some issues with my speaker so i replaced the dock component, at the same time I tried to fit a cheap china replacement back. It didn't fit properly so I had to put my old one back on, however my signal keeps going to no service and my power button is very intermittent. (Both were fine before I attempted this).

I've taken it to pieces and re-assembled twice and no improvement. I'm not sure if I've caused permanent damage or not.

the number 6 connector is definitely firmly in place however I'm not entirely sure if the antenna is positioned correctly under the headphone jack, should it be contacting anything? etc.

As for the power button it feels fine, it clicks etc - just very rarely actually does anything.

Options

iphone signal for calls etc is from the dock connector (the big orange flex underneath) and from small gold prong on the bottom right of the motherboard making connection with metal bezel of housing. sometimes when you take motherboard out this prong gets bent and no longer makes contact-i'd try that first and see what happens. otherwise you may need to replace dock antenna (as a whole or just the antenna which is far more time consuming)

the power button is an infuriating part to reseat, i'm afraid it really is trial and error. make sure little metal ring on inside of button is in down position, don't over tighten screws as this stops metal ring from"springing"
