Battery did not charge, battery ondicator off, but it power up!

I have problem with my mbp 2011

Simptoms:

battery don`t charge

battery indicators off

magsafe only green

in osx it says: no battery available

if i unpluged the magsafe it goes to sleep mode.

Any ideas ?

By the way, i used apple test hardware and the result are OK! I don`t find any issues. :(

I have tried with a new battery but is the same issue, i have this problem after i change the thermal pasta of cpu. My question is: Mbp can run normal without battery indicator ? Or it won`t charge without this indicator cable connected ?

Do you mean the indicator light is not working or the indicator in the top right corner?

Battery issues more often than not are caused by a bad battery. Replace the battery with one that you know is good, and that will tell you the answer -- if it works, the battery was bad, and if it doesn't, you know it's the computer, and we can proceed further at that point.

your battery might of reached the end of its lifespan. rechargeable batteries have a limited amount of charge/discharge cycles
