Battery problem, stuck on charging loop.

I have a problem with my iShit 5s ( iPhone). It started a while ago, I suppose that after the upgrade to iOS 10. My iPhone won't charge even if it is showing that it's charging. When battery stuck at for ex. 42% it doesn't increase no matter what. I tried different USB cables. I tried to clean the charging port. It's just driving me nut, the point is that sometimes it will charge and sometimes not. The only solution that I found till now is to heat it up with hairdryer, and then it works perfectly. But as I said before, there is no rule when my iPhone will charge or won't... That is just insane because I can't keep with me all the time hairdryer.

I tried the hard reset, soft reset, restoring iPhone.

Does someone of you have any idea what to do? Because now only what I want to do is to kill my iShit....

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello,

check your battery condition using program coconutBattery on mac or iBackupBot (Device - >More info). There will be actual battery capacity. If the battery is ok then it's probably power IC on motherboard.

Here is the process I go through before thinking of it being the charging IC or power management IC.

Replace charging dock > battery > charging IC (U2 Tristar IC) > power management IC.

Because the symptoms of plugged in and not charging can even be either charging port dock ribbon assembly or battery as well.

I go for cheapest and easiest to replace to hardest and most expensive to replace.

the point is that Iphone is showing that its charging. the same with draining battery it can stay 70% for hours and then after hard reset it shows 56%. So I am really confused about this fact. Plus the thing that sometimes it is charging normal and sometimes it is doing this $@$**. I had the same problem with iOS 8 and after update It was working perfectly fine.

Sometime we have this kind of problem with poor quality batteries where IC has been changed. If you have originalone then It's probably power IC.
