1998 Katana 600 fell over and now the ignition won't work

My bike fell over for about 30 seconds before I picked it up. Minor scratches and some gas came out the top. I replaced the battery with a new one. Ignition still won't work. Clutch works with shifting gears. I push started it also and that works.

No sounds... do the lights come on? Do you notice the headlight is dim?

Make sure the fuel is on. Put your sidestand up. Make sure it goes all the way up. Turn your ignition switch to the on position. Put the bike in neutral. Squeeze the clutch and hit the starter button. You might also try jiggling the ignition key, and maybe even wiggle the kickstand (there may be a safety switch on the kickstand that will keep the bike from starting - maybe the drop knocked it out of place?)

Falling on the left could have bumped the shifter.

Other than a tip-over switch, you also have the sidestand switch, a clutch lever switch and a neutral switch for safeties in the ignition system. There is also may be a kill switch on the handlebar.

All the lights come on. The kickstand safety switch is good. Peckcock is on. Pull the clutch in...nothing.
