My phone has gone to a black screen, it is making a sound intermitently, there is a red light flashing, but i am unable to turn the phone off or bring up anything on the screen

Kevin, charge phone and try a reset, press and hold power power button for 20 to 30 seconds. If no reset, with phone off, try removing battery for a minute, reinstall battery and try holding power button in until phone boots up. Check the attached links,instruction and guides for additional info., Good luck.

Try charging for 10 minutes or so then hold the on/off button for 10 secconds
