No sound from earpiece after screen change iPhone 6

After replacing the screen on 2 iphone 6 the earpiece stops working after a few days.

I can gear through the speaker, headphones and the phone rings etc, BUT no sound from the earpiece - callers can hear me but I cant hear them.

This happens after a few days use.

try a voice memo..when playing, you can switch from speaker to earpiece speaker..does the screen gets black when you play on earpiece speaker and hold your hand at the top at the iphone where the frontcam and sensors are?

by

To be clear when you put the phone near your ear during calls (which is what most people usually do) does the screen turn off and then turn back on when you move it away from your ear?

Anyway the earpiece speaker not providing sound is usually either not mounted properly or the front camera ribbon cable has some physical damage / tear (but this is probably less likely).

Proximity sensor works fine and so does the front camera. During voice memo the earpiece still does not work but the external speaker does.

Someone suggested the problem may lie with the charging dock?!?!

Is this a possibility?

I really doubt it is the charging dock because that only connects to the loud speaker / bottom speaker which is only used when the phone is in loudspeaker mode in voice memos or loudspeaker enabled during calls.

You will have to inspect the 4 contact point area to the top earpiece speaker on the front camera flex assembly for any tear or misalignment.

Replacing the front camera assembly should fix the issue because the last time I had an issue like this where I already tried replacing the earpiece speaker and still no sound I had to end up replacing the front camera ribbon cable assembly.

I don't know maybe the screws are not tight enough for the earpiece area on the top of the screen? Not correct length screws being put in? Not mounted properly with the two holes aligning with the ribbon cable assembly, speaker and metal bracket?

This has happened twice now on 2 different iPhone 6 after a screen change. EVERYTHING works for a few days and then ONLY the earpiece stops working.

(Proximity sensor, front camera, rear camera ALL work.

I have tried replacing the earpiece but still no sound.

Had the same issue after replacing the battery. After reopening the device I found that the front-facing camera and sensor cable connector was loose. After reattaching it the earpiece was working again.

Battery replaced, screen placed, and Replaced the flex cable/camera and the ear speaker but still no sound is coming out of the ear-speaker nor out of the headphone jack. Checked all connections and they are fine. The screen turns black switching between , however there is no sound from the ear speaker. Any suggestions?
