simcard removal faulty and yes I have used a paperclip

simcard removal is not working. I have tried on numerous occasions to use the tool provided and paper clips, however it is not working. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know this seems like the most simple of tasks but I have been trying to get it to work for half an hour, I can do it fine on my friends identicle phone.

Options

Put paper clip in hole, angle towards centre of sim card and lever upwards. If this doesn't work you could go to the extrem of taking display off following ifixit guide and then pushing sim out from inside. Sounds like "flipper" has broken, you can buy them for next to nothing from ebay
