carb won't fire unless I pull out drain plug

Okay so bike runs on one cylinder great! Both sides are getting gas, but the only way I can get one side to fire is spraying starting fluid in the boot or pulling the drain plug out of the bowl and if I do that it fires right up and stays running besides draining gas of course.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Brandt Gorsegner sounds like a float or needle valve issue. What model is your bike and/or your carbs?

Brandt, remove carb/s ,clean/rebuild and start with fresh fuel. You can google search your year, make, model and engine for carburetor rebuild instruction if needed. Check the attached link for your repair manual, instruction and guide, Good luck

So I did remove carbs today went through them good with a mechanic he's just not a motorcycle mechanic, put it back on and like I said that side just won't fire and stay going vaccume lines are pushing air but the gas on that one side is not going through like it should... has spark, has compression. I remove the drain on the bowl and it will start to fire

If the carburetor has fuel in it, pump if equipped working, and fuel is not getting to combustion chamber and float is not sticking and at proper level, the jet is plugged or pin stuck damaged, out of adjustment. Recheck for pinched fuel line, clogged filter, fuel vent in gas tank cap not clogged if equipped. Good luck.

We have literally tried everything we can think of, checked lines, compression test, vacumme test, gas will come through the gas line and go into the bowl, both sides have good spark, could carbs be that out of sync? I have a sync tools haven't tried it yet.. we're running out of ideas like I said. We checked floats in carb also well we just actually went through the whole carb again everything looks fine! I am so lost
