Hi Colonel Hogan,

Thanks in advance for you answer.

Yes, i've already checked the updates. It is the last version of the firmware (26.2)

It is not normal right? For the thunderbolt display's fans starts when turned off.

Have you attached external devices to the TBD ?

by

No, all the ports in the TBD are unused.

I realize I'm incredibly late to the party here, but if you've got your MacBook charging even when it's off, the fans will cool the power adapter.

Sorry dude, Its a Thunderbolt display not a macbook that is having the problem.

by

yes, that's abundantly clear. in case you're unfamiliar with thunderbolt displays, they have built-in MacBook chargers. when said built-in MacBook charger is plugged into my Mac and charging, it creates heat. the fans inside my Thunderbolt Display turn on to keep the AC/DC conversion circuitry cool, even though the display itself is powered off.

thanks for giving ME a demerit for YOU not knowing what I'm talking about.
