Why is the screen and every thing on the screen green.

My TV screen is green. And anything you watch on it is green also. Why is that?

Hi,

Usually when you have a tinted colour display it means that one of the 3 primary colours used, is missing. These colours, i.e. red, green, blue, in combination make up all the colours in a TV screen, For example all three colours turned on produce white. In your case, green is definitely working so it must either be the red or the blue signal that is missing.

Your TV has a choice of S-Video, AV (composite), Component, HDMI and Coax. What type is the input source for your picture?

Try connecting another video source to a different input (or if possible, connect your current input source device into a different input or type of input) to prove whether the problem is in either the TV or the source of the signal.

If the TV is connected directly from an aerial into the Coax input then the problem is in your TV. If the TV is connected from an aerial or cable via a 'box' of some description then it has to be proved whether the problem is with the box, the connection between the box and the TV or the TV.

This is a common problem with this rear projection tv, Sony have refused to admit a manufacturing defect in light unit.

REPAIR IS VERY EXPENSIVE. a class action law suit was raised, for a while Sony did offer inferior flat screen at discount price, but believe this offer ceased as well.

This is all I know at moment, but if you check online there are many forums on this problem.
