iPhone dead and will not charge

So I dropped my iPhone 6 Plus and the screen smashed but still worked for a couple of seconds, but I replaced the screen and now the phone won't even turn on or even go into recovery. I got iTunes error 4005 when I put a new battery inside it but all it did was heat up the area where the A8 chip was . Help many thanks

Heating is not a symptom of a charge port.

Its almost always a fuse/filter that got knocked off. Part of what the charging system of the phone does is tell the phone when the battery is dead and in return, the phone kicks more juice to the battery. When part of that system is broken, the phone will throw full current to the battery. This makes the battery get very hot and it can even explode.

Its a relatively cheap fix, however it does require micro soldering skills and equipment.
